Expert Witness Services Overview Since 1983 Norman Lynagh has frequently been instructed as an Expert Witness in a wide variety of cases. These include hull and cargo damage at sea, road traffic accidents, personal injury incidents and many more. Our Expert Witness services have been recommended to clients by the UK Met Office. To enable us to carry out the necessary investigative work we maintain a continually updated  worldwide archive of weather observations, numerical model output and other data. Using this archive we are able to investigate past weather events anywhere in the world over the past 35 years and more. The extent of any investigation and the detail of reporting is defined by the instructing party. At one end of the spectrum it can be as little as one hour of work with findings reported in an e-mail. At the other end of the spectrum it can be tens or even hundreds of hours of work over months or years with extensive formal reporting running to hundreds of pages. There is no “typical” case and we are always willing to give an estimate of the likely extent and cost of the work that will be needed to meet a client’s requirements. Where a precise scope of work can be defined we are willing to quote a fixed price. All formal expert reports comply fully with the requirements of the Civil Procedure Rules. Norman Lynagh is available to give evidence in Court proceedings. Norman is also available to accept instructions as an Expert Advisor or Consultant rather than as an Expert Witness.
